Drafted by Collingwood with pick 11 in the 2008 National Draft, Steele Sidebottom arrived at the club carrying significant expectation following a ten-goal performance in the TAC Cup Grand Final. He transitioned seamlessly into the senior side, playing a mature role for a teenager during the Magpies' successful 2010 campaign. As the youngest member of that premiership team, he displayed a composure that would define his career, quickly cementing his place in the club's midfield rotation for the decade that followed.
Sidebottom developed into one of the competition's premier wingmen, celebrated for his elite aerobic capacity and a rare ability to kick with equal precision on both feet.
