Bio
A standout performer for Norwood in the SANFL, Stephen Patterson was a mature-age recruit selected by Collingwood with pick 36 in the 1994 National Draft. Standing at just 173cm, he was a tenacious and zippy rover who possessed a sharp goal sense and the ability to win his own ball in congested packs. He made an immediate impact at Victoria Park, most notably starring in the inaugural Anzac Day blockbuster in 1995, where his speed and aggression helped set the tone in the famous draw against Essendon. Patterson became a consistent fixture in the Magpies' midfield during the mid-to-late 1990s, offering relentless pressure and regular scoreboard contributions before departing the club at the end of the 2000 season.
