Stats
Bio
Recruited from South Fremantle with the first pick in the 1988 pre-draft selection, big-bodied forward Stevan Jackson burst onto the AFL scene in spectacular fashion. He booted six goals on debut for the West Coast Eagles against Brisbane—a club record he still shares—and established himself as a potent scoring threat with a powerful frame and strong hands. Despite his impressive strike rate, Jackson found himself competing for space in a premiership-calibre forward line dominated by Peter Sumich, eventually crossing to Richmond in 1992 in search of greater opportunity as a key position target. While he added bite to the Tigers' attack early on, his time at Punt Road was ultimately derailed by chronic knee injuries, restricting him to just 21 games in yellow and black before his premature retirement.
