Stats
Bio
Hailing from the Latrobe Valley, Emery was recruited from Yallourn and arrived at Glenferrie Oval as a promising centreman. He spent the bulk of his tenure in the reserves, where consistent form rewarded him with a senior debut in the dying stages of the 1978 season. He added five more senior appearances in 1979, but faced the unenviable task of trying to crack a premiership-calibre midfield rotation that featured icons like Leigh Matthews and Michael Tuck. Unable to cement a regular spot in the powerhouse Hawks lineup, Emery departed the VFL scene at the conclusion of the 1979 season.
