Bio
Recruited from North Adelaide with pick 74 in the 1988 National Draft, Steven Hamilton was a light-framed South Australian utility who managed a brief but noteworthy stint at Arden Street. After breaking into the senior side in 1990, he played just six games but displayed genuine quality, most famously polling two Brownlow Medal votes for a standout performance against Fitzroy at Princes Park. Despite this flash of potential, he was unable to cement a long-term spot in the Kangaroos' lineup and returned to his home state the following season. Hamilton immediately re-established himself in the SANFL, playing a key role in North Adelaide's 1991 premiership triumph before later finishing his state-league career with West Adelaide.
