Honours

Recruited from Shepparton United, Steven O'Dwyer established himself as a serviceable utility during Melbourne's competitive resurgence under John Northey in the late 1980s. Operating primarily on a wing or half-forward flank, he offered consistent run for the Demons and was a member of the side that contested the 1988 Grand Final against Hawthorn. After five seasons at Melbourne, O'Dwyer was involved in a direct player swap ahead of the 1992 season, crossing to Richmond in exchange for Phil Egan. His tenure at Punt Road proved short-lived, as he managed only a single season with the Tigers before departing the league.
