Teams

Recruited from the Bendigo Bombers as a mature-age rookie, Stewart Crameri established himself as one of the league's most effective medium-sized forwards during a turbulent period for Essendon. A powerful left-footer with an elite endurance base that allowed him to work tirelessly up the ground, he topped the Bombers' goalkicking list for three consecutive seasons between 2011 and 2013. His ability to outrun larger opponents and convert accurately from distance made him a difficult matchup, eventually earning him a high-profile trade to the Western Bulldogs ahead of the 2014 season.

Crameri was a consistent contributor at the Whitten Oval, booting nearly 70 goals across his first two seasons, but his career narrative is largely defined by significant misfortune. He was suspended for the entire 2016 season due to the WADA findings regarding the Essendon supplements saga, forcing him to watch from the sidelines as the Bulldogs broke their 62-year premiership drought. Upon his return, persistent hip injuries restricted his output and mobility, leading to his delisting at the end of 2017. He was handed a final lifeline by Geelong via the rookie draft for the 2018 season but managed just four senior appearances before calling time on his career.
