Bio
Recruited from Sandy Bay in Tasmania, Stewart Palfreyman was a ruckman who preceded his younger brother Brent at Kardinia Park. Arriving for the 1970 season, he wasted little time adapting to the VFL standard, playing almost every game across his two years with the club as a consistent first-choice follower. While he proved himself a capable big man at the elite level, his stint in Victoria was ultimately brief, and he opted to return to Tasmania following the 1971 season to continue a decorated career in his home state rather than extending his tenure with the Cats.
