Bio
Recruited from VFA club Dandenong, Stuart Atkin arrived at Victoria Park as a defensive option during a highly competitive era for Collingwood. A solid backman who could also rotate through the midfield, Atkin made his debut in 1980 but found it difficult to cement a regular position in Tom Hafey's senior lineup, often sitting on the fringe of a squad that contested back-to-back Grand Finals in his first two seasons. He remained a depth player throughout his tenure, managing sporadic appearances across four years before departing the club following the 1983 season with 18 games to his name.
