Bio
Hailing from Minyip in the Wimmera Football League, Stuart Cameron was a tall defender who initially broke into the VFL with Fitzroy. After managing a handful of senior appearances across three seasons at the Lions—most notably a run of games in late 1987—he found himself out of the system for the entire 1989 season. While seemingly destined for a stint with Werribee in the VFA, Cameron received an AFL lifeline when Melbourne selected him in the 1990 Pre-Season Draft as immediate defensive cover for the injured Jamie Duursma. He managed five consecutive matches for the Demons in the middle of the 1990 season before eventually moving on to Prahran in the VFA the following year.
