Bio
The younger brother of Carlton premiership wingman David Glascott, Stuart Glascott began his football journey in the Blues' under-19s and reserves but was unable to break into the powerful senior lineup at Princes Park. Seeking opportunities north, he joined Southport in the QAFL, where his form caught the eye of the inaugural Brisbane Bears recruitment staff during a difficult debut season where the club often relied on local state league talent to bolster its depth. Glascott was granted a late-season debut in Round 19, 1987, and held his spot for the final four matches of the year as a 185cm utility. Despite a solid 11-disposal effort against Collingwood in his first game, his VFL tenure was limited to that single month, after which he returned to the state league ranks and represented Queensland in the 1988 Bicentennial Carnival.
