Bio
Recruited from Kyabram in Melbourne's Goulburn Valley country zone, Stuart McKenzie was a tall utility prospect who arrived at the club during the tumultuous early 1980s. Standing 191cm, he offered size and versatility, capable of pinch-hitting in the ruck or filling key position posts to support the Demons' structure. He broke into Ron Barassi's senior side midway through the 1982 season, stringing together nine consecutive appearances where he provided an aerial contest against experienced VFL opponents. Despite retaining his spot on the list for 1983, McKenzie was unable to crack the senior 22 again and departed the club without adding to his game tally, ultimately returning to country football.
