Bio
Arriving at Punt Road via the 1993 Pre-Season Draft, Stuart Steele was a recruit from the Hawthorn reserves who carried a significant family legacy as the grandson of former Tiger player and administrator Ray Steele. A wingman or flanker noted for his intelligent handball use and ability to move well in traffic, he was given a brief opportunity at senior level midway through the 1993 season. However, Steele found it difficult to cement a spot in the starting lineup, managing just two games before returning to the reserves where he was a steady contributor. He was delisted at the end of his solitary season, later spending a year with the Collingwood reserves before returning to amateur football with Old Scotch.
