Stats
Bio
Recruited from the orchards of Doncaster, Ted Aumann was a dashing half-back flanker who broke into the Richmond lineup midway through the 1919 season. A tall defender for the era at 183cm, he relied on his pace and determination to hold down a spot in a miserly Tigers backline. His stint at the elite level was unfortunately brief, with a severe knee injury striking late in the year and forcing him out of the side just prior to the club's Grand Final loss to Collingwood. Aumann eventually returned to the eastern suburbs where he carved out a significant legacy in local football, captaining Doncaster, winning a premiership with Ringwood, and later serving as a long-time administrator for the Nunawading Football Club.
