Bio
Recruited from Eaglehawk in the Bendigo Football League, Ted Esposito arrived at Melbourne after catching the eye of scouts during a representative match for Bendigo against the VFL in 1928. A talented centreman, he quickly found a place in the Demons' senior side, playing regularly in his debut season as a reliable midfield option. His progress was unfortunately hampered by significant injuries, including a leg problem that cost him ten weeks in 1930 and a shoulder injury during the 1932 pre-season. Unable to secure a consistent run of games due to these fitness issues, he returned to Eaglehawk midway through the 1932 season, where he played until 1939 and was later named in their Team of the Century.
