Stats
Bio
Recruited from Surrey Hills, Ted Farrell initiated his league career with Fitzroy in 1910 but struggled to cement a permanent spot in the Maroons' side, making only 12 appearances over two years. He crossed to Richmond in 1912 in search of greater opportunity and immediately found his footing at Punt Road, becoming a consistent selection for the Tigers. Standing 178cm, Farrell was a versatile operator capable of playing as a rebounding defender or rotating through the centre to contest the ball. He played 41 games for Richmond over three seasons, serving as a reliable utility player during the club's formative VFL era before his senior career concluded at the end of the 1914 season.
