Bio
Recruited from Korong Vale in rural Victoria, Edward "Ted" Millar arrived at the Junction Oval as a teenager during the 1938 season. Standing 174cm with a sturdy frame, he was granted a brief trial in the senior lineup during the middle of the year, making his debut against Carlton before playing his second and final game a week later against Collingwood at Victoria Park. Unable to cement a regular spot in the Saints' side, his VFL career concluded after that short fortnight of football. Millar subsequently served with the Royal Australian Air Force during the Second World War, later returning to civilian life in country Victoria.
