Stats
Bio
Recruited from Maryborough in the Victorian goldfields region, Ted Williams arrived at Hawthorn during the 1935 season. Standing 178cm and weighing 71kg, he was a lightly framed player who broke into the senior lineup for a brief stint as the club looked to bolster its playing stocks. He made four appearances for the Mayblooms (as the club was then known) but was unable to secure a permanent position in a side that struggled for consistency throughout the decade. Like many country recruits of the era who tested their mettle in the VFL, his tenure at the top level was short-lived, and he departed the league without registering a goal after his single season at Glenferrie Oval.
