Bio
Recruited from local club Albert Park, Terry "Tex" McGee broke into the South Melbourne lineup as a 17-year-old talent during the 1962 season. Standing 180cm, he served the club as a utility option across 16 senior games, earning his opportunities during a lean era for the Swans at the Lake Oval. While his own VFL career concluded after just two years, he established a family link to the club that was famously continued by his younger brother, Jeff "Torch" McGee, who later became a cult figure at South Melbourne and a prominent voice in football media.
