Stats
Bio
A diminutive rover standing just 159cm, Terry O'Brien was recruited to the Saints from the St Kilda CYMS competition. Despite his slight frame, he proved immediately dangerous around the big sticks, showing a sharp eye for goal to boot 21 majors in just 13 senior appearances across the 1940 and 1941 seasons. His promising VFL career was effectively cut short by the Second World War, during which he enlisted in the RAAF and served as a Leading Aircraftman. Although he did not return to league football after his service, O'Brien remained a cherished figure at the club and was recognised as one of St Kilda's oldest surviving former players prior to his passing at age 92.
