Bio
Recruited from the Port Adelaide Magpies with pick 20 in the 2012 National Draft, Tim Broomhead arrived at Collingwood as a classy midfielder-forward known for his evasiveness and clean skills. Despite his high draft pedigree, his time at the Holden Centre was defined largely by persistent injury setbacks that prevented him from securing a permanent spot in the senior side. He showed flashes of his potential, particularly during the 2015 season, but his momentum was frequently halted by body issues. His career took a devastating turn in early 2018 when he suffered a gruesome broken leg after colliding with a goal post against Greater Western Sydney, an incident that wiped out his season. Although Collingwood delisted and immediately re-rookied him to support his rehabilitation—a testament to his character and the club's loyalty—he managed just one more senior appearance before being delisted permanently at the end of the 2020 season.
