Bio
Recruited from the Geelong Falcons with pick 43 in the 2000 National Draft, Tim Clarke is the older brother of former St Kilda and Brisbane utility Xavier Clarke. An industrious midfielder renowned for his elite endurance and time trial dominance, Clarke was often deployed in run-with roles where his aerobic capacity allowed him to wear down opposition ball-winners. He became a regular fixture in the Hawthorn lineup during the club's rebuilding phase under Alastair Clarkson, playing 20 games in 2005 and maintaining a consistent spot through 2007. However, as the Hawks' list matured into a premiership force, Clarke struggled to retain his position against emerging stars, leading to his delisting at the end of the 2008 season just as the club secured the flag. He subsequently transitioned into coaching, serving in development roles at Richmond, Carlton, and Gold Coast.
