Bio
A foundation VFL player recruited from Fitzroy Juniors and Primrose, Tim Curran made his debut for Fitzroy in Round 2 of the league's inaugural 1897 season. While he broke into the Maroons' lineup early in the year, he was unable to cement a permanent spot in a star-studded squad that went on to claim the first-ever VFL premiership, managing just three senior appearances. After a two-year absence from the top flight, Curran returned to the league in 1900 with St Kilda, where he found greater opportunity in a side that was struggling at the foot of the ladder. He played 10 games for the Saints during their wooden spoon campaign, serving as a reliable fixture in the team before concluding his career with 13 games to his name.
