Stats
Bio
Recruited from Cobden in the Hampden Football League, Tim Godfrey was a tall utility who joined the Fitzroy list in the mid-1970s. Standing 188cm, he offered height in key positions but faced a difficult task breaking into the senior lineup consistently during a challenging era for the Lions. After a solitary debut appearance in late 1976, Godfrey enjoyed his most consistent run during the first half of the 1977 season, stringing together eight matches in defence as the club struggled for wins. Unable to lock down a permanent role, he added just two more senior games in early 1978 before departing the VFL scene, notably finishing his brief career with a victory over South Melbourne in his final outing.
