Bio
Tim Golds was one of the twelve talented teenagers secured by Greater Western Sydney as 17-year-old access selections in 2010, arriving with a strong junior reputation as a recipient of the AIS-AFL Academy's Ben Mitchell Medal. A tall, athletic defender capable of breaking lines with his speed, he famously showcased his pace by finishing second in the 2010 Grand Final sprint while wearing a generic GWS guernsey before the club had even played a game. Despite his physical attributes, Golds struggled to command a regular spot in the Giants' lineup as their list depth improved, managing just six senior games over four seasons while playing primarily in the NEAFL. Following his delisting at the end of 2015, he was thrown a lifeline by Collingwood in the Rookie Draft. He spent the 2016 season playing for the Magpies' VFL side but could not break into the senior 22, eventually being delisted without adding to his career game tally.
