Bio
Recruited from Oak Park, Tim Harrington was a tall key defender who became a journeyman figure across three clubs during the 1980s. Primarily utilized as a full-back, he showed promise at North Melbourne but struggled to cement a permanent spot in the senior side before crossing to Collingwood in 1987. After managing just eight games in two seasons with the Magpies, he was thrown a lifeline by the Western Bulldogs in the 1989 Pre-Season Draft, where he provided experienced defensive depth for his final two years. While his on-field contributions were modest, Harrington established a significant post-career legacy as a football administrator, serving as a long-time list manager and football operations chief for North Melbourne and Melbourne.
