Bio
Recruited from Penshurst in Victoria's Western District, Tim Olle was a tall key-position prospect who stood 189cm, a significant height for a footballer in the late 1940s. He made his debut late in the 1949 season, playing the final three rounds, but struggled to find consistent opportunities at the Junction Oval over the subsequent two years. Despite his physical attributes, Olle found himself on the fringe of selection during a lean era for the Saints, managing just six senior appearances across three seasons without registering a goal. Unable to cement a regular spot in the starting 22, he requested a clearance to VFA club Port Melbourne in 1952 to continue his career in the Association.
