Bio
Recruited from the North Ballarat Rebels with pick 26 in the 2008 National Draft, Tim Ruffles was a pacy forward who showed immediate promise as a potential livewire inside 50. However, his brief career at Fremantle was defined by wretched luck with injuries, suffering a ruptured ACL in just his third senior appearance against Adelaide in 2009. After a lengthy rehabilitation, he returned to the senior side late in 2010, only to suffer a recurrence of the injury while playing for West Perth in the WAFL during the finals series. Although Fremantle delisted and subsequently re-drafted him as a rookie to oversee his second knee reconstruction, Ruffles was unable to break back into the senior lineup and was permanently delisted at the conclusion of the 2011 season.
