Bio
Recruited from Swan Districts with pick 41 in the 2008 National Draft, Todd Banfield established himself at the Brisbane Lions as a pacy small forward known for his defensive pressure and ability to hit the scoreboard. After a breakout 2010 season where he played every game and earned a Rising Star nomination, Banfield struggled to replicate that consistency in subsequent years due to injury and form lapses. Delisted by the Lions following the 2013 season, he was thrown a lifeline by Richmond in the Rookie Draft, but the speedster could not secure a permanent place in the Tigers' lineup, adding just three games to his tally before being delisted at the end of 2014.
