Bio
Recruited from Swan Districts as a mature-age prospect following their 1990 WAFL premiership triumph, Menegola arrived at Richmond with high expectations as a skilful utility and forward. Selected with pick 16 in the National Draft, he showed flashes of class at Punt Road—most notably kicking a clutch last-gasp goal to win the 1993 pre-season semi-final against Fitzroy—but injuries often hampered his continuity. After being delisted by the Tigers, he returned to the WAFL in 1994 where he performed strongly enough to represent Western Australia in State of Origin. This form earned him a place on Fremantle's inaugural list in 1995, though he did not crack the senior side during the Dockers' debut season. He is the father of former Geelong wingman Sam Menegola.
