Bio
Recruited from Morningside in the QAFL, Tom Bell entered the AFL via the rookie list at Carlton, where he eventually developed into a powerful, big-bodied midfielder and high half-forward. Known for his elite endurance and ability to break tackles through sheer physical size, Bell enjoyed a breakout season in 2015, finishing fourth in the John Nicholls Medal. Following that career-best campaign, he requested a trade to the Brisbane Lions on compassionate grounds to be closer to his ailing father. However, his tenure at the Gabba was frustrated by persistent injuries and an inability to recapture his best form, resulting in his delisting at the end of the 2018 season.
