Bio
A defender whose VFL career was heavily curtailed by the Second World War, Tom Bush arrived at Melbourne via St Kilda, where he had been listed without playing a senior match. Originally from Berrigan in the Riverina, he managed just five games for the Demons across three seasons while balancing his football commitments with service in the Australian Army. Following his brief tenure in the league, he forged a successful path in regional football, becoming a premiership player with Wangaratta and a dual Best and Fairest-winning captain-coach for Peechelba and Moyhu. His contribution to the game was tragically cut short when he died of illness at the age of 33.
