Bio
Recruited from the Eyre Peninsula’s Cummins-Kapinnie via the Port Adelaide Magpies, Tom Carr was a Zone Selection included in the Power’s inaugural AFL squad. A midfielder capable of winning his own ball, Carr faced the difficult task of breaking into a rotation that quickly became one of the league's most competitive. Consequently, his opportunities at the top level were sparse, restricted to just five senior appearances across three seasons between 1997 and 1999. While he could not cement a spot in the AFL side, he enjoyed significant success at the state league level, playing in the Magpies' back-to-back SANFL premierships in 1998 and 1999. After being delisted and briefly redrafted as a rookie in 2000 without adding to his tally, Carr returned to the SANFL full-time, where he forged a respected career spanning over 150 games for the club.
