Bio
Recruited by St Kilda with pick 24 in the 2011 Rookie Draft, Tom Curren served a significant apprenticeship in the state league before breaking into the senior side. An endurance specialist with an exceptional work rate, he carved out a niche as a disciplined run-with midfielder, often tasked with tagging the opposition's most dangerous ball-winners. His perseverance was highlighted by a standout 2013 season where he won the Sandringham Zebras' Best and Fairest, earning a promotion to the Saints' senior list and the club's best first-year player award. Although he enjoyed a consistent run of games in 2014, a broken leg and increased competition for midfield spots stifled his momentum, leading to his delisting at the conclusion of the 2016 season.
