Bio
Born into the Magpie nest as the nephew of former player Dave Drummond, Thomas "Chick" Drummond graduated from the Collingwood District side to become one-third of a legendary centreline alongside Bill Twomey and Charlie Pannam. A diminutive but fearless wingman, Drummond was renowned for his ability to soar over packs for marks that seemed impossible for his 170cm frame, combining this aerial prowess with elite evasion and brilliant ball use. He played a crucial role in the 1917 and 1919 premiership victories and rose to captain the club in 1922, leading them to a Grand Final appearance. However, he stunned the Victoria Park faithful by leaving at the height of his career to pursue lucrative coaching roles in country Victoria, spending three seasons in the wilderness before making a brief VFL return with South Melbourne in 1926.
