Stats
Bio
Born in Rutherglen, Tom Elliott was a defender who had to earn his stripes through the Melbourne reserves before breaking into the senior lineup. He spent the entire 1922 season in the seconds, eventually impressing enough to earn a promotion to the senior list for the 1923 season. Elliott played the majority of his VFL football that year, functioning as a reliable backman, but found opportunities harder to come by in 1924 and was cleared back to the reserves mid-season. While his time at the top level was brief, he forged a respectable career in the VFA after leaving the Demons, playing for Coburg before serving as captain-coach of Camberwell for three seasons in the late 1920s.
