Bio
Tom Fullarton is a cross-code athlete who transitioned from professional basketball to the AFL, having previously represented the Brisbane Bullets in the NBL and captained the Australian Under-17 basketball team. Signed by the Brisbane Lions as a Category B rookie in 2018, the athletic tall developed as a mobile ruck-forward utility but found consistent senior opportunities difficult to secure behind established key position stars Joe Daniher, Eric Hipwood, and Oscar McInerney. After five seasons and 19 games in Queensland, he requested a trade to Melbourne ahead of the 2024 season, recruited to bolster the Demons' ruck depth following the departure of Brodie Grundy. Despite his athleticism and versatility, Fullarton struggled to cement a spot in Simon Goodwin’s side, adding just two games to his career tally before being delisted at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
