Bio
Recruited from the local Barwon club, Tom Gibney was a teenage forward who earned a late-season trial with Geelong in 1906. He broke into the senior lineup for the final seven rounds of the year, immediately finding the goals and retaining his place as a scoring option to close out the campaign. Despite showing potential during this brief cameo, Gibney did not feature for the Pivotonians again after the season concluded, eventually moving to the metropolitan area where he continued his career in the VFA with Brighton.
