Bio
Recruited from the Dandenong Stingrays with pick 73 in the 1996 National Draft, Tom Gilligan faced the difficult task of breaking into a burgeoning Adelaide powerhouse under Malcolm Blight. A small forward and rover, he earned his debut late in the 1997 season against Essendon, playing two matches as the club marched toward its historic first premiership. Despite breaking into the senior side, Gilligan found regular opportunities scarce within a star-studded midfield and forward line, adding just one more appearance in 1998 before being delisted following the Crows' back-to-back flag triumph.
