Bio
A mature-age recruit who had to wait until he was 26 to make his VFL debut, Green earned his opportunity at Hawthorn through impressive form in the reserves, highlighted by a seven-goal haul in the opening round of the 1935 seconds season. Wearing the number 23 guernsey, the medium-sized forward was finally promoted to the senior side for the final three rounds of the year as the struggling Hawks looked to test their depth ahead of the off-season. He managed to hit the scoreboard with two goals during his brief stint in the firsts, but despite this late-season cameo, he was unable to secure a permanent place on the list and his league career concluded after just those three appearances.
