Bio
Tom Highmore arrived at St Kilda as a mature-age recruit via South Adelaide in the SANFL, originally hailing from Canberra where he was part of the GWS Academy. Selected with pick 45 in the 2020 National Draft, he quickly established himself as a courageous intercept marking defender with strong hands overhead. Highmore showed significant promise during his debut 2021 season, featuring in 13 matches and impressing with his ability to read the play across half-back. However, he struggled to break into the senior side consistently over the next two years, finding himself stuck behind established defenders like Callum Wilkie and Josh Battle. Unable to cement a regular spot in the rotation under Ross Lyon, he was delisted at the conclusion of the 2023 season after 16 senior appearances.
