Stats
Bio
Recruited to the Lake Oval in the late 1920s, Tom McMahon struggled to cement a permanent position in the South Melbourne lineup during a five-year stint at the club. He served primarily as a depth player, managing only sporadic appearances between 1927 and 1931 without ever playing more than seven games in a single season. Seeking a fresh start after finding himself on the periphery of the squad, McMahon crossed to Melbourne for the 1932 season. However, the change of scenery did not result in a significant shift in his fortunes, and he added just four final games in the red and blue before his VFL career concluded.
