Bio
Recruited from Williamstown in the VFA, Tom Meehan was a promising young talent who had made his senior debut for the Seagulls at just 17 years of age. He was cleared to Fitzroy midway through the 1928 season, brought in to bolster the Maroons' lineup during the winter months. Standing 177cm, Meehan played five senior games in that solitary season but was unable to secure a permanent position in the side, failing to register a goal during his brief VFL stint. He was cleared back to Williamstown in April 1929 to resume his career in the Association. Beyond football, Meehan served his country as a Flight Sergeant in the RAAF during World War II before passing away prematurely at the age of 48.
