Bio
A tall ruckman recruited from local side Bentleigh, Tom Quinn worked his way through Melbourne’s development pathways, graduating from the Fourths, Thirds, and Reserves to the senior list. Standing 191cm, he broke into the side during the 1967 season—Norm Smith’s final year at the helm—but found opportunities limited in a transitional Demons lineup. After five senior appearances without registering a goal, Quinn left the VFL to forge a successful career in the VFA with Oakleigh, where he became a key figure until 1975 before returning to Bentleigh to dominate the Federal League as a dual best-and-fairest winner.
