Bio
Recruited from St Ignatius, Tommy Carr arrived at the Junction Oval during one of the most testing periods in St Kilda’s early history. He broke into the senior side during the 1901 season, a dismal campaign for the club that saw them fail to register a single win and ultimately claim the wooden spoon. Carr managed just five appearances in the red, white, and black, featuring in a lineup that was constantly reshuffled as the committee desperately searched for a competitive edge. Unable to cement a permanent spot in the struggling 22, his VFL career was confined to that solitary winless season, marking him as one of the many brief contributors during the Saints' difficult formative years in the league.
