Bio
Recruited from West Melbourne, Tommy Jenkins established himself as a lethal attacking weapon for Essendon during the club's celebrated "Mosquito Fleet" era. A rover with an uncanny sense for goal, he was a pivotal figure in the Bombers' back-to-back premierships in 1923 and 1924, topping the club's goalkicking in both seasons with a high conversion rate. Jenkins was renowned for his elusive ground play and sharp finishing, forming a dynamic combination with fellow smalls that compensated for the side's lack of key position height. After spending the 1926 season in the VFA with Brighton, he returned to the VFL for a final campaign with North Melbourne in 1927, concluding his career as one of the most effective goal-kicking rovers of the 1920s.
