Bio
Recruited from Northcote High School, Trevor Dawson was a diminutive rover and forward who broke into the Fitzroy senior side as an 18-year-old. Standing just 173cm, he relied on his ground-level work and goal sense to compete against larger opponents, managing to boot goals in his debut season in 1966. After finding himself out of the senior team for the entire 1967 campaign, he earned a brief recall in 1968 before his VFL tenure concluded. While his on-field career was limited to nine games and six goals during a lean era for the Lions, Dawson remained a loyal clubman long after his retirement, maintaining a connection to the club through the Fitzroy-Brisbane Lions Historical Society.
