Bio
Recruited from South Bendigo in the Bendigo Football League, Trevor Fletcher was a towering ruckman and defender who arrived at Princes Park in 1976. Standing at 192cm, he possessed the physical attributes required for VFL football but faced the difficult task of breaking into a formidable Carlton lineup that boasted established big men like Peter Jones and Mike Fitzpatrick. Consequently, Fletcher was restricted to just four senior appearances across two seasons as he struggled to cement a spot in the starting 18. Following his brief stint at the top level, he transitioned into a highly successful career in education, eventually becoming a senior bureaucrat in the New South Wales and Victorian school systems, alongside a seven-year tenure on the coaching staff at Footscray.
