Stats
Bio
Recruited from local side South Melbourne Districts, Trevor Grant was a tall key defender who progressed through the club's Thirds before reaching senior VFL level. Standing 188cm, he possessed the height to man key posts in the backline, typically tasked with nullifying opposition tall forwards during a defensive era of the game. He earned his senior debut late in the 1954 season but found it difficult to cement a regular spot in the best XVIII, often serving as a depth player for a South Melbourne side that languished in the bottom half of the ladder. Grant managed 11 games across three seasons without registering a goal, eventually departing the Lakeside Oval at the conclusion of the 1956 campaign.
