Bio
Recruited from the AJAX Football Club in the Victorian Amateur Football Association, Trevor Korn’s path to the VFL was complicated by the rigid zoning rules of the early 1980s. Although he spent the 1981 pre-season training with St Kilda, it was discovered just weeks before the season began that he was residentially zoned to Melbourne, forcing a move to the Demons after a clearance request was denied. A wingman standing 183cm, Korn eventually broke into the senior lineup late in the year, making his debut in Round 18 against South Melbourne at the MCG. He played three consecutive matches, booting his solitary career goal, but was unable to hold his spot in the side. Following his brief stint at the top level, he was delisted and returned to the amateur leagues, continuing his career with AJAX and Old Melburnians.
